Loving & Not Loving

  • Loving how we have some clouds today, it’s still hot, but a nice change of pace.
  • Not loving how tangled my hair has been when I get out of the shower, I almost cry brushing it.
  • Loving that I finished my summer classes, hallelujah.
  • Not loving how tired i’ve been lately, I feel like I can never get enough sleep, when I do.
  • Loving my new camera and computer! Yay for better blog pictures.
  • Not loving how it sounds like someone is walking upstairs right now, when no one else is home.
  • Loving how my birthday is in two weeks!

I have had a lot of people ask me how I afford to travel, so here it is. Traveling is something I really enjoy, so I make it a priority when I am managing my money. There are tons of other things I could spend my money on but I choose I spend it on airfare and Airbnb’s across the world. Once I started making traveling a priority, I have had more funds to use for traveling because I am not spending it on other things. Doing this has been life changing and being able to see the world is something that I have always dreamed of. Dreams stay dreams if you don’t act on them. Once I realized that, I knew I had to make it a priority.

I also have two jobs. So it’s not like I am just sitting at my house all day and then going on trips whenever I feel like it. I work really hard to be able to keep up with my traveling habits, and it’s worth every second of it. I have to coordinate around work and school, that’s why most of my traveling is done during the summer months. I also am very fortunate to have a job that makes tips and having another job that I am able to do from home. So I put a certain amount of money into a different account each time I get paid (I treat it like a bill) that is strictly for traveling, so when the time comes the money is already there.

I also am not picky about where I go. I want to go sooo many places that I don’t really care what order the trips happen in. So when I decide I am going to book a trip I look at all the destinations and pick the one that is least expensive at that time, which saves me a lot of money. I also try to plan ahead so I have more time to prepare financially for the trip. Then after I have paid for the trip, I try to pay one of my bigger bills a month early, so that it is one less thing I have to pay the month of the trip. When the time of the trip comes I am always so glad I did it, it makes it so much less stressful.

I hope these tips I have help you if you are trying to travel, but not quite sure how to pay for it! Traveling is one my favorite things and I am trying to do lots of it while I am young, and old too haha. Do you guys have any tips you use when traveling? If so leave them below! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Xo
